Welcome Kastner Students and Parents
As a current parent or 8th grade student you are now receiving our Clovis West Instrumental Music Weekly notes. This is a weekly email sent to all instrumental music families to keep you updated and informed on the goings on of the Clovis West Instrumental Music Program. If you have any questions about anything High School related, feel free to contact us at cloviswestmusic@gmail.com and we will be in touch with you. We are looking forward to having you all join us soon next school year.
General Parent Meeting June 7th
Please come join us for a general parent meeting this June 7th. Our Parent board will share information about the previous year as well as discuss plans for the upcoming school year. We hit the ground running as early as the week after school with hospitality providing marching band students dinner on June 13th, 14th and 15th. If you are looking for ways to become more involved with the program, or are new to our program and want to meet other instrumental music parents, this is a great opportunity to do so! The meeting starts Wednesday at 7pm in the Clovis West Band Room.
Disneyland Trip June 10
Disneyland group signups will begin tomorrow at Clovis West and Monday at Kastner. The full attendee list has been emailed to all who are attending, as well as a lot of information to review prior to the trip. We will be sending final details soon but the itinerary is the same as we have printed on the trip form. If you are attending please do not be late Saturday morning.
If you did not sign up for the Disneyland trip but would like to attend, there is a limited quantity of available spots on this trip. Contact Mr. Chesi directly at bryanchesi@cusd.com if you are interested but not currently on the trip.
Chaperones, as we emailed prior, we will be meeting Thursday Evening June 8th at 7pm to review responsibilities for the trip. Please plan on attending.
Chocolate Bar Fundraiser Still Active!
There are still multiple chocolate bar boxes available to check out and sell! Each box can be sold for $60 ($1 per chocolate bar). For each box sold, $15 will be allocated toward trip credit. This is a great way to build trip credit for Disneyland trip payments or upcoming travel in the 2023-2024 school year.
Color Guard and Percussion Recital
Congratulations to all of our Percussion and Color Guard students on a great recital last evening. If you missed the event you missed out on some excellent performances.
Marching Band Summer Rehearsals, Events and Show
If you weren’t able to attend the event last night, we also announced our fall marching band show “All the Lonely People,” featuring music from the Beatles. We also shared information regarding summer and fall schedules. Our slideshow with that information can be viewed via this link.
In preparation for the upcoming year, we are asking all marching band participants to attend summer rehearsals. Attendance is expected from everyone! If you cannot attend a rehearsal, please inform a director and your section staff members as soon as possible!
