Many of you have submitted your first donation as planned last week. If you haven’t, please try to stay current or let us know if things change, thanks.

Colorguard

Our first competition is Saturday January 27th. The itinerary is updated in charms for this event. We are appreciative of all of your pledged donations. Many of you have submitted your first donation as planned last week. Additionally trip payments were due last week. If you haven’t submitted these please try to stay current or let us know if things change, thanks.

Symphony Orchestra

Symphony Orchestra auditions are happening this week! The first rehearsal will be postponed January 19 until January 22.

Leadership Seminar

On Monday Jan. 22, we have an incredible opportunity for all of our students! JR Snow is a college professor from James Madison University in Virginia and is an incredible motivational speaker. He is going to be giving a leadership seminar on Monday night from 6 to 9 pm at the PAC. This event will count for Concert Credit and is going to be a very powerful event. Mr. Snow often gives these seminars to schools and camps all over the country for upwards of 1,000+ people. Admission is normally around $50 for an event like this, but for CUSD, he is only charging $20. You can prepay this week or pay at the door. This will greatly benefit any student, parent, or teacher who attends because of the passion and powerful messages that Mr. Snow will deliver. Join us on Monday for this amazing event!

See’s Candy Order Forms Are Available for Valentines Day

We are again offering See’s Candy in time for Valentines Day delivery. Half of the proceeds of this fundraiser will benefit your student’s trip account. These forms will be available in the bandroom starting tomorrow. Orders will be due Saturday 1/26. Please take advantage of this fundraiser.

Save Around the City Books / Money

We have several more Save Around the City books available for your student to sell. They sell for $25, and all of the proceeds from that sale ($8.50) go to your student’s trip account. This is a unique opportunity to build your trip credit for future travel. Many students have signed out some of these books. We ask that if you will be unable to sell them you return them so others may do so. We are being charged for all of these books, so we want to get them sold and apply the benefits directly to your trip account. Please turn in any unsold books or book money ASAP!

Jazz I’s Reno Trip is a Go!

Trip forms came back before break from both our program and the students at Clovis East. Based on everyone’s promised amounts, we will be going on this trip. Please remember the first trip payment if splitting is due January 26th. Please if paying a trip fee by check, make it payable to Clovis West Foundation. We will make the final payments out of our accounts for our students, disregard any information asking for payments to Timberwolves Foundation, thanks!

Fall Season Pledges and Trip Fees

As we have turned the calendar over to the 2018 year, we have noticed that many of the pledges and trip fees that were promised by many of our families have not come in or repeat payments haven’t been set up. Please remember, we use this information to plan what we can do throughout the school year. If you have not yet submitted your pledges/fees it is not too late to do so. We would greatly appreciate it if these could be submitted as soon as possible.

Staff, Instruments, Music, and supplies all have costs, and while the district does offer us a lot of support it does not fully fund the program we offer your students. Your donations and financial support coupled with fundraising allow us to continue to offer the programs at the level we do, and hopefully make enhancements in the future. Please help us continue to provide a quality music education for your student by fulfilling your pledged amounts and or paying your trip fees.

If you would like to continue to support our programs and provide a donation, please consider setting up a recurring payment through paypal. You can access an easy to use method right here: http://cloviswest.cwaim.org/donations/

Past News…

Charms Texting

We have been informed that Charms is not being allowed to text cell service providers anymore. We are working on a new texting solution for students and parents, and will likely be moving to remind for future time sensitive communication. Sorry for the inconvenience and we will have more information for you soon.

Our Amazon Wish List is Back

Our Wish List is back and we need your help! We will update this list periodically with things that the program needs and can use. If you see an item that you would like to purchase for the program, please do! After the order is placed, it will be automatically shipped to Clovis West and will be put straight to good use improving the music experience for our students!
