New This Week…

Orchestra Area Concert Thursday 11/30 and Band Area Concert Monday 12/4

Our area concerts are fast approaching. This Thursday the Symphony Orchestra will perform at both concerts (6:15pm and 7:30pm). Monday the Wind Symphony will also perform (6:15pm and 7:30pm). Call times for both of these nights are 5:45pm. Please make every effort to ensure students are on time and ready to play. We are looking forward to welcoming a new class of musicians to their first performance.

Clovis Christmas Parade

The Marching band will be participating in the Clovis Christmas Parade on Saturday 12/2. Students should arrive at Clovis West by 4:00pm and will be transported to and from downtown Clovis. The parade starts at 6:30. Students will be bussed back to Clovis West after the parade. A snack will be provided, but please eat prior to arriving at CW.

Pieology Fundraiser

We have our next fundraiser day/night at Pieology on Monday 12/4 from 11am-9pm. 20% of the proceeds will go to benefit our program. Grab a pizza for lunch or dinner and support Clovis West Instrumental Music. Please use this Flier

Senior Cookie Decorating - Thursday 12/7, 6:00pm

This year we will be selling cookies decorated by our senior class during intermission at the Sounds of the Season concert on Saturday 12/9. Kathy Lozano has graciously invited senior students and families to her residence this year on Thursday 12/7 beginning at 6pm to have a cookie decorating party. Parents are welcome to join and aid in decorating/packaging/cleanup efforts. Seniors, please contact Kathy at KLozano@communitymedical.org for details.

See’s Candy Order Forms Are Available

We are again offering See’s Candy as a fundraiser this year. Half of the proceeds of this fundraiser will benefit your student’s trip account. Please see Mr. Chesi for an order form. Orders will be due Saturday 12/9.

FMCMEA/All State Auditions

If your student is interested in auditioning for All-State ensembles or for FMCMEA, this is the week to sign up. Students interested in auditioning for All-State should talk to Mr. Chesi tomorrow and be prepared to upload recordings of audition materials, and write a check for $55 to “Clovis West Foundation” with CWAIM in the memo line. Students planning to audition for FMCMEA on 12/9 should register at fmcmea.org and bring Mr. Chesi a check made out to FMCMEA for $20. This should be completed by Friday or students will be unable to audition.

Sounds of the Season

One of our favorite concerts of the year is fast approaching. We are again looking forward to a great concert and silent auction. We need your help though. For this concert (one of our most successful fundraisers of the year) to be a success, we need every family to contribute at least one dessert. Items should be dropped off in the PAC lobby Saturday 12/9 in the morning. The dishes your dessert are sold on will not come back to you. Please bring items on a platter that can be sold at the auction. Many families choose to purchase these at the Dollar store.

If you are available to volunteer to help at any portion of the day Saturday, please sign up as a volunteer through charms here.

Tickets are now on sale! All tickets for the concert will be sold on the Charms Online Store. The best seats sell very quickly and this concert is always close to selling out. Get your tickets now!

Please read the following regarding our ticketing process:

1. Just like buying tickets for any concert or event, all seating is reserved and you will choose the section of the concert hall you would like to sit in. A seating chart and pictures of the view from each section are available in the online store.

2. Pricing varies depending on the section. To the sides and back are $10. Center seats are $15.

3. The 34 seats of Row N, the first row of the upper level with a fully unobstructed view of the stage, are $25 each.

4. Tickets for CW Instrumental Music Alumni and current CW Area 5th-8th Grade Instrumental Music Students are just $5. These seats will be grouped with other members of their party purchased on the same order. Single tickets will be placed in any available seat in the Concert Hall. Only the student/alumni receives the discount. All others in the party must purchase General Reserved Tickets.

5. Wheelchair seating is available in Row M. All members of the party with the wheelchair should purchase their tickets with this option.

All ticket orders are held at the ticket table the night of the concert under the name of the person or student account that purchased the tickets.

If you have any questions or need assistance ordering tickets, please contact us at: cloviswestmusic@gmail.com.

Save Around the City Book Money

If you have signed out Save Around the City books, that money is due. Please turn in your payments for these books ($25 per book). Your student’s trip ledger will be credited once these payments have been fully processed.

Past News…

We have been informed that Charms is not being allowed to text cell service providers anymore. We are working on a new texting solution for students and parents, and will likely be moving to remind for future time sensitive communication. Sorry for the inconvenience and we will have more information for you soon.

Trip Payments

Marching band families who have not yet finalized their trip payments, please submit your remaining payment at this time.

Thank you to those of you who have already turned them in!
