This Friday our Marching Band students will have the opportunity to take individual, section and small group pictures at Clovis West before the football game (more information about pictures will be available soon). We will be feeding the Marching Band students, and everyone will ride a bus to Buchanan after pictures are over. Don’t forget your 5 S’s! The game will take place at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium, and since it is Homecoming, we will not be performing at halftime. All students must be picked up from Buchanan at the conclusion of the event. There will not be a bus returning to CW after the game.

Save Around The City Books
This fundraiser is still going on. Please pick up an order form in the bandroom and keep selling these books for trip credit!

Ongoing MB Memorization Tests
We are started memorization tests for our Marching Band students last week. These tests are solely for the purpose of helping our Marching Band students all achieve complete memorization of our competitive show. Be ready to show us what you know!

SmartMusic has recently become an incredibly valuable tool for our program. It allows our students to practice and evaluate on their own, and gives us an opportunity to review their progress and create more suitable lesson plans. We highly suggest and value the importance of students having their own SmartMusic accounts (subscriptions are $40 for an entire year). This allows them to practice in greater detail and record their SmartMusic assignments at home, which count toward each student’s grade in their Instrumental Music class. Please view the SmartMusic website today, and sign your student up for success (

Checks Reminder
Just a quick reminder that all checks need to be made out to CW Foundation/CWAIM (both parts are important and must be written on the check). If you ever have a question about this, please let us know.

Mark your calendars! CUSD Instrumental Music Sadies will take place the evening of Monday, October 31st. Bids will be $15 per person, $30 per couple, and the theme is Halloween. More details will be available as we get closer to this event. We hope to see you there!
